Music Video Vérité

In 2003, I coined the term "Music Video Vérité": A music video where there is no lip syncing, and the audio is recorded alongside the video - even as locations change within the video.

Other producers and engineers have had the same revelation as I, and in a case of parallel development, have discovered that with today's portable technology, we can get closer to the music by recording the audio and video together!

The video on the left features Future Jazz Project (futurejazzproject.com), and was directed by donnie l. betts (www.nocredits.com) and myself. I produced the video for my thesis for the Master of Science in Recording Arts degree at the University of Colorado Denver in 2003.
