In 2003, I coined the term "Music Video Vérité": A music video where there is no lip syncing, and the audio is recorded alongside the video - even as locations change within the video. Other producers and engineers have had the same revelation as I, and in a case of parallel development, have discovered that with today's portable technology, we can get closer to the music by recording the audio and video together! I produced the video for my thesis for the Master of Science in Recording Arts degree at the University of Colorado Denver in 2003.
